The article of the pharmacopoeia for dissolution testers (EP 2.9.3 and similar national ones) specifies the distance from the bottom of the glass to the basket or paddle stirrer. This distance should be (25 ± 2) mm.
There are two problems associated with this distance: how to adjust the shafts to this length and how to check that the criteria are met? These two problems are solved by our two products described below.

In order to adjust the distance between the bottom of the glass and the bottom of the paddle stirrer or rotating basket, it is necessary to place the reference adjustment balls on the bottom of the glass, loosen the screws on the shafts and smoothly lower the shafts with the installed attachments into contact with the balls. Then the screws are tightened.

Method of application
In order to measure the distance between the bottom of the glass and the bottom of the paddle stirrer or rotating basket, it is necessary to pull the stop in the device to the maximum and place the device itself on the bottom of the glass. Then the shafts with the installed attachments are lowered to the position in which they should be, from which the stop is immersed inside the device. Then it is necessary to carefully remove the device from the glass and measure the overall height of the device with a caliper (the caliper is not included in the kit).
