Purpose

KjelReference catalyst tablets for Kjeldahl are used at the stage of mineralization with sulfuric acid in the analysis of proteins by the Kjeldahl method. The mechanism of the catalysts is as follows:
potassium sulfate – increases the boiling point of the acid, which accelerates decomposition;
copper sulfate, titanium dioxide and selenium – directly catalyze the decomposition process;
silicone – reduces the degree of foaming of samples.

We have all possible compositions of catalyst tablets for Kjeldahl, including compositions identical to those usual from other manufacturers of these catalysts, as well as our own compositions. There is a special composition for the pharmaceutical industry, corresponding to the article EP 2.5.9 of the European Pharmacopoeia.
